State Records Center Administrator Rick Hendricks shares his expertise about initiating and strengthening his agency's relationships with the many Native communities across New Mexico. Hendricks credits the work of the New Mexico State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) for its work in establishing a variety of working relationships with tribal records-holders. Building and sustaining trust underpins all the successful work, Hendricks says, noting that constant attention to nurturing and honoring relationships is a requirement.
