Finding candidates for archives positions at State Archives can be challenging. This collaborative session will feature two iSchool representatives, Meredith Lowe from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Kristina Intinarelli from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. They will share their insights and observations about what current students and recent graduates are looking for in their job searches, how to engage with current students and job seekers, and what might barriers exist (whether real or perceived) in state archives hiring. In addition, Meredith will discuss Archives Gig (archivesgig.com) and what trends she is seeing there.
