The Council of State Archivists (CoSA) and the Society of American Archivists (SAA) sent a letter to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on January 30, 2020 to oppose the sale of the National Archives and Records Administration’s (NARA) building in Seattle, Washington. This sale would result in closure of the National Archives at Seattle and the Seattle Federal Records Center. CoSA and SAA join the Congressional delegations of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington in opposing the closure of NARA’s Seattle location.
