Archive-It

First deployed in early 2006, Archive It is a subscription service which allows organizations to build and preserve collections of digital content on the Internet. Powered by the Internet Archive's Heritrix web harvesting tool and the Wayback Machine viewer, Archive-It partners can collect, catalog, manage, access, search and archive their digital information collections. Captures can be described with Dublin Core metadata and the captures are housed in the WARC (Web ARChive) file format. Archive-It's development team greatly assists in the especially problematic capture of social media content.
