Hello everyone,
The position of Director of State Programs at the NHPRC has been reposted today with a closing date of Tuesday, December 5. The NHPRC did make some adjustments to the language of the posting to encourage more applicants with a background in archives, though it is still classified as a Historian.

Pay scale & grade: GS 12
Location: 1 vacancy in the following location: Washington, DC
Remote job: No

From Darrell Meadows, NHPRC Deputy Executive Director:
"We are seeking applicants with archival training and experience, and demonstrated experience with and/or knowledge of State Historical Records Advisory Board regrant activities. The incumbent will play an important role in helping the Commission to envision the future of our State Programs area, and how it can better understand and respond to the essential needs of small and underserved, under-resourced archival institutions and repositories. Applicants with knowledge and experience that can help us to advance our strategic goal to "Foster a greater diversity of voices in telling the American story through historical records collections," are especially encouraged to apply. Responses to the related questionnaire should be documented in their federal-style resume."
Feel free to share broadly with individuals and other communities who may be interested in the position.
Most sincerely,
Joy
