Hello all!
I serve as the executive secretary for the Utah State Records Committee. When a member of the public requests a record from a government office, and access is denied (because it's not a public record, or there is fee required), they may appeal up to the Committee to reverse the denial. Do you have something like this in your state?
I'm thinking about creating an association for the committees and support staff. It would be wonderful if we could work together to discuss trends we're seeing, and share how we manage the challenges and growing workload. Of course I don't know what creating such an association entails, but this seems the best place to start!
