Please register to join the Accessibility and Disability Section (ADS) on Tuesday, 31 October at 2 PM Eastern for a discussion on navigating workplace culture as a Disabled archivist (item 4.3.C in the Strategic Plan). This event is being held in recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), with this year's theme being "Advancing Access & Equity." Possible topics include:

    1. What experiences have you had with employee resource groups (ERGs) or other types of identity-based staff groups?
    2. For those of you who are supervisors, do you feel you supervise differently as a Disabled person?
    3. How do you communicate with colleagues to avoid being misinterpreted? How do you socialize and make friends?
    4. For those of you who have disclosed in the workplace, what has worked well for you? What have the results been?
    5. What have your experiences been like requesting accommodations since 2020 (especially interested in hearing from people with long COVID-19)?
    6. Has access to or the presence of remote work and virtual or hybrid events increased or decreased at your workplace?
    7. How do your other identities intersect with Disability in the workplace?
