    Role Overview:

    In the role of Electronic Records Archivist/Business Systems Consultant Intermediate you will join the Indiana Archives Records Administration's Records and Information Management team in supporting statewide electronic records management in the areas of preservation, collection, access, and user education. You will work with the Records and Information Management team to:

    • Provide excellent customer service at both the State and County/Local levels; 
    • Provide input on the development of policies, procedures, standards, and manuals; 
    • Promote Records and Information Management policies, procedures, and workflows at the State and County/Local levels;  
    • Advise on electronic records topics including conversion, storage, and access; 
    • Provide support to agencies transferring electronic records to the Indiana Archives including user education, outreach activities such as presentations and webinars, and technical support and guidance;  
    • Work with the Indiana Archives to appraise, arrange, and describe electronic records; 
    • Process and accession electronic records using software and technology including but not limited to AXAEM and Dell EMC Unity (on-the-job training will be available); 
    • Assist with projects to improve compliance with Records and Information Management requirements.

    This role works with agency leadership, representatives from other agencies, vendors, and the Indiana Office of Technology. The work is broad in scope and requires considerable judgement and advanced analysis capabilities. The successful applicant will have an interest in government records, familiarity decision making and risk management, and experience adapting to new technologies and procedures.
