CoSA has the opportunity to onboard consultants for two new grant-funded projects. We welcome you to forward these opportunities to anyone you know who may be interested in this strategic work as CoSA seeks to support the needs of our territorial members and stabilize and open access to our rich longitudinal data.

    • Project consultant(s) for Archives Working Across Remote Environments (AWARE): Connecting the Government Archives of the U.S. Territories, Hawaii, and Alaska
      • The Council of State Archivists (CoSA) seeks proposals from practicing consultants, independent researchers, or small teams to support implementation of an IMLS National Leadership Grant (LG-254941-OLS-23) to investigate and articulate the needs of territorial and non-contiguous state archives, produce guidance documents, and develop a plan for their support. Using a series of data-gathering assessment methods, CoSA representatives and project partners will identify unique and shared agency needs and collaborative opportunities to address both individual and overarching challenges facing these institutions and the communities they serve.
    • Project consultant(s) for State and Territorial Archive Data Aggregation Planning Grant
      • CoSA seeks proposals from practicing consultants, independent researchers, or small teams to support implementation of a recently funded Mellon Foundation planning grant for advancing the stewardship and use of data related to state and territorial archives, producing technical recommendations, and developing a plan for their support. Major goals include identifying internal and external data sets, exploring platforms for discovery and access alongside a broader organizational technology audit, and articulating sustainable steps for implementation in the future.
Questions may be directed to employment@statearchivists.org. Review of proposals will begin November 20.

    Most sincerely,

    Joy
