Alright everyone, I need some beta testing. I've uploaded a sample config file (the one i am current using btw) and the app. rename the app from "opex_package_creator - Copy.txt" to opex_package_creator.exe
It works quicker creating the package on the c drive compared to a network drive. The package is not zip'd. When you upload to the opex area using cyberduck or whatever, if the files in question are particularly large of the package itself is large you need to take it offline and put it back into play when it finished the upload to staging. Also, if you activate the child workflow before the incremental ingest workflow it'll give you a false failed to launch error email.
I genuinely am annoyed at how much faster this is compared to the SIP Creator. Their tech guy proved me wrong. My usual fee applies if this works for you. :)

Brian,
Congrats! It must have been because you picked the perfect icon! I can't wait to hear more. Could this be something that you demo in more depth during the September meetup?
Best,
Tara

The opex packager works I mentions actually works! Finished my test this morning for a basic package and it worked with incremental ingest after a little bit of tweaking and a little bit more frustrating WTF moments.
Now to get it working with multiple manifestations 1:1 and many:1access.

Hi everyone,
With apologies for the late notice (where on earth did July go?), this is a reminder that the monthly SERI Archivists Who Code discussion will be held tomorrow, August 1, at 3:00 PM ET/2:00 PM CT, 1:00 PM MT/12:00 PM PT. Login information is at the very end of this message (and is posted on the AWC community's landing page on https://www.statearchivists.org/).
Tomorrow, let's try something a little different: if you're currently using scripts or code to accomplish one or more archival tasks, please be prepared to share a little bit about what you're doing. What need does your script/code address? Did you write it yourself, or did you modify something written by a colleague or that you found on the Internet? If we have time, would you be willing to share your screen and do a quick demo? (If not, would you be willing to do so during September's discussion? If you're still learning about scripts and code, which tasks and processes do you hope to automate? What do you see as your next steps?
Talk to you tomorrow!
Bonnie
