  • 1.  2024 DPCMM Survey Launch

    Posted 02-13-2024 12:11 PM

    Hello CoSA community,

Our primary contacts for each member institution received an email with information about our 2024 release of the Digital Preservation Capability (DPC) survey. Included in the message were general instructions for orienting to the survey, background to the process, and the registration link to our webinar today, 2/13 at 3pm eastern | 12pm Pacific (register now). We invite everyone who may be completing or is just interested in the DPC survey to join us at this webinar.

In addition to the introductory email from me, that individual should also receive a message from info@statearchivists.org with the subject "[Council of State Archivists] Digital Preservation Self-Assessment Invitation". The second email includes the link to the system and instructions to login to complete your institution's survey.

Our SERI community worked with our project consultants Nick Connizzo and Veronica Martzahl to update the language of the survey to simplify and clarify many of the components. They'll be presenting at the 2/13 webinar and welcome your questions.

If you do not have a copy of your institution's past survey results, we'll be glad to provide them to you. While we understand that you may collaborate on your responses, please only submit one survey per institution. If you need the survey sent to someone else, let us know.

We are hoping for a strong response since this is one of the last components of our BACKER grant. Your support will help us evaluate the success of our support work and strategize for our next steps. Responses should be submitted by March 12, 2024.

Any questions can be direct to either Nick (nconnizzo@statearchivists.org) or Veronica (veronica.martzahl@gmail.com)
