Digital Imaging Guidelines (VA)
Provides best practices for public bodies that are investigating the use of imaging systems for storage and retrieval of public records, and applies to imaging systems that involve routine systematic processing, storage, or retrieval of documents, pictures, maps, drawings, and similar items that constitute public records. Sections include: Legal framework; Purpose; Introduction; Project Planning; Technical Specifications and Selection; System Implementation; Archiving and Long-term Maintenance; a table of the Minimal standards for Archival Quality Images; and a glossary. (Written for the state of Virginia.)
