Jennifer Green is a Records Management Specialist at the Oklahoma State Archives. Serving in an advisory and educational role, Jennifer works with state agencies to establish and maintain best practices for records and information management. In public service since 2007, Jennifer is dedicated to government transparency and access to public information. Her experience includes managing the Manuscripts Division of the Oklahoma Historical Society and serving as the first municipal archivist and records manager for The City of Oklahoma City where she established an archival program, updated the records retention schedule, and processed requests for public records.
Jennifer has volunteered her time with the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators as board member (2017-2020) and president (2022-2023), the Society of Southwest Archivists as secretary (2011-2015) and president (2017-2018) she is a past president (2019-2020) and founding member of the Oklahoma Archivists Association (est. 2017) and a member of the Oklahoma Historical Records Advisory Board. In her life outside of work, Jennifer founded the Period OKC Foundation, a non-profit organization advocating for menstrual equity and an end to period poverty.
