CoSA Member Webinar: Advocacy for Archives

The April CoSA Member Webinar will feature members of CoSA’s Advocacy Committee discussing CoSA’s 2019-2022 advocacy plan and current advocacy initiatives. The speakers will discuss the federal budget and its impact on federal agencies of concern to state archives, including the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and its granting agency, the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC); the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS); and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Speakers will also discuss recently released position statements, CoSA’s work on documenting replevin issues in state government, and the recent mid-year board meeting in Washington, DC, including advocacy visits to Congressional offices.

Among the speakers are Jodie Foley, Montana State Archivist and CoSA Vice-President, Jim Corridan, retired Indiana State Archivist and CoSA Advocacy Committee Co-chair; and David Cheever, Maine State Archivist, and CoSA Advocacy Committee Co-chair.
