Recommendations Sent To Biden Transition Team

A joint statement issued by the Council of State Archivists, the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators, the Regional Archival Associations Consortium, and the Society of American Archivists regarding Federal Archives and Records Management Issues was sent to
the Biden Presidential Transition Team on December 1st.
The statement's recommendations span a range of topics, including records management responsibilities of public officials, federal electronic records management, federal funding for archives, and compliance with FOIA.
Representatives from this joint working group will be meeting with a representative from the transition team early this month.
