CoSA's first Archives Resource Center (ARC) was developed in response to the call for a Web-based information clearinghouse, which was the highest priority in the Action Agenda developed at the National Forum on Archival Continuing Education (NFACE) in 2000.

Significant expansion and enhancement of the Resource Centerto support the IPER Project's courses has been made possible during 2008-2010 by Cooperative Agreement Number 2007-GS-T7-K022, administered by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Training & Exercise Integration Secretariat.
