The 2009 CoSA Annual Meeting is being held jointly with the Society of American Archivists in Austin TX.
Many details about the overall meeting, including a downloadable program and overall schedule are available from SAA at http://archivists.org/conference/austin2009/.
We have also compiled a table showing events sponsored by CoSA or otherwise of particular interest to state archivists. We've highlighted only a few sessions in each block; you'll find many more of broad interest including a substantial number on digitization.

Registering for the meeting
You will need to register for the overall meeting through SAA, either online or by fax/mail.
Everyone attending the CoSA meeting (state archivists and staff members) is eligible to register at "member" rates whether or not you're an SAA member (a savings of $100 over the nonmember rate).
Early-bird registration is available until July 6 at a rate of $299. Between July 7 and July 20, registration is $349. Registration onsite is $399.
Reimbursement for travel to the annual meeting
CoSA will reimburse travel to the annual meeting for one person per state or territory for each $2,500 that state has paid in dues for 2009. Representatives receiving reimbursement will be expected to attend both the CoSA Work Session (Wednesday afternoon) and the CoSA Business Meeting (Friday afternoon).
Those who are eligible for reimbursement should complete the CoSA Travel Claim Form and send it along with ALL receipts to Vicki Walch within 30 days after returning from the conference.
Reimbursements are limited to actual expenses incurred, up to a maximum of $1,500, for the following:
- Transportation to and from the meeting in accord with the general provisions governing transportation in the CoSA Travel Reimbursement Policy (see link below);
- Lodging (at the conference rate); and
- Meal expenses at the following maximums per day: $10 breakfast, $10 lunch, and $25 dinner.
Most state and territorial representatives eligible for reimbursement will receive coverage for up to three days of lodging and meal expenses. Exceptions will be made for unusual circumstances such as flight schedules that require an extra night at the conference site in order to participate in CoSA meetings.
See the new CoSA Travel Reimbursement Policy for additional details.
