Council of State Archivists Listserv

Who does the CoSA Listserv reach?
All state archivists and their deputies are automatically subscribed to the COSHRC-L listserv (so named because it was created when "CoSA" was still "COSHRC").

What is the posting address?
The posting address is: COSHRC-L@lists.Maine.edu
Only subscribers to the list are allowed to post. If you have a message that you would like to distribute to the state archivists, contact CoSA staff at info@statearchivists.org.

New position? New email address? Can't post?
If you are no longer receiving listserv messages OR if you are having trouble posting, it's possible that the distribution list contains an out-of-date email address for you. Contact CoSA staff at info@statearchivists.org and we'll update the distribution list right away.

Where do I find the listserv archives?
Go to http://lists.maine.edu/cgi/wa?REPORT&z=4.

Because this is a "private" (i.e., subscribers only) listserv, you'll need a password to sign in. If you don't already have a password, however, don't worry. Just click on the "get a new LISTSERV password link" on http://lists.maine.edu/cgi/wa?REPORT&z=4 and it will allow you to pick a password.

After verifying that you're a legitimate subscriber, the system will email you a confirmation message with instructions on how to log in.

Once logged into the system, click on "Subscriber's Corner" and you'll see COSHRC-L listed at the bottom of the screen. Click on the "COSHRC-L" link and you'll go to a screen that allows you to adjust your settings for receiving mail.

In the upper left of this screen, there will be a link for "COSHRC-L Home" that will take you to a month-by-month directory of all messages sent through the listserv. If you want to conduct a search by subject or name, use the "Search the archives" link at the top of the "COSHRC-L Home" page.

Thank you!
Jim Henderson, the Maine State Archivist, coordinates the listserv which is hosted on the University of Maine's computer system.
